today is a day to remember. easter sunday...
today (or rather last night... but it was easter by the time i made a decision) is the day that i took stock of things that'd been happening so far, and decided to make a change.
today is also the day that we had our easter party! and in 20 short minutes of bball, i renewed a passion (altho short-lived i think) for smth i totally stopped for months. just goes to show how fickle i am. which reminds me... i still have a loooooooong list of things i wanna do in the future. but thats for another time.
but today. today is the day. it is the day that mr oura gave us critical awareness of our strategic position in singapore's history of music. we are poised at a juncture to make history. it happened when we were sec 2, but we were only juniors then... and besides, the effects of which were dampened by sars. but not this time. this time, we're all fully aware of the stakes. the victory will be so much sweeter, and the loss so much more bitter. will La Mer spearhead the the new bandwagon from the limelight of gold with honors, or will it be faintly linger in the memories of others as a 'tried-and-failed' taboo music? it's all up to us i guess... there's a month left on this road to excellence.
when we walk off the stage and we wait for our results, i'll wanna join hands with the people next to me. then the next question is... will i lift up my hands, exchanging hugs and basking in the exuberance of shared victory, or will i release my hands and sit back down on my chair in disappointment?
i'll be keeping the former image in my prayers...
